Positive trends in the foreign trade of Ukraine
Alexander Gromov, deputy chairman of the Export Development Ministry, during the forum, which was held in Kiev, reported an improvement in the trade balance in our country. Foreign trade surplus for the last three quarters of 2014 amounted to 803 million dollars. In comparison with the same period last year such figures tell a real breakthrough in the development of foreign economic relations. In the first three quarters of 2013 in Ukraine's foreign trade deficit was observed in the amount of 9.725 billion dollars. At the moment, we see a budget surplus, and these positive trends can not but rejoice.
Throughout 2014 managed to reduce the negative balance with such countries: Korea, France, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, China, Poland, the United States of America. In addition, established relations with Turkmenistan, Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Spain, India, and the surplus as a result of cooperation with them increases.
The Ukrainian government has approved a program of action, according to which by 2020 will double the volume of exports to Europe and other countries. Will achieve this through the use of new opportunities offered by a free trade area with the EU, as well as the negotiation of the formation of a free zone with Israel, Canada, Turkey, GCC (Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf) and ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States).
Also, with the new 2015 series of planned reforms in food policy and agriculture, to develop them. Due to this the Cabinet of Ukraine is going to gradually bring our country a world leader in the export not only raw materials but also refined products.
