Video review SAIC Audi Q5 e-tron electric SUV
The new Audi Q5 e-tron is based on the MEB platform from the VW Group. With a body length of 4,876 mm, Audi’s electric novelty is commensurate with its sister model Volkswagen ID.6, but promises more interior space and practicality.
The new Audi SUV has a length of 4876 mm and 2965 mm between the axles. The Audi Q5 e-tron offers different equipment levels with distinctive wheel designs and optional tinted plastic body cladding. Inside, the Audi Q5 e-tron uses a digital cockpit and a floating center console like the Q4 e-tron. That means a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
In terms of design, the Audi Q5 e-tron continues to build on the company’s current design language with a closed single-frame grille flanked by dark trim panels. Details such as headlights, taillights and fender lines are similar to the Q4 e-tron, but overall it looks less aggressive and more family-oriented.
The Audi Q5 e-tron electric car has two power systems, namely the 40e-tron single-motor rear-wheel drive and the 50e-tron twin-motor all-wheel drive, and uses a battery with a capacity of 83.4 kWh. Their power configuration is as follows:
• The Audi Q5 40 e-tron version has a maximum output of 150 kW, a maximum torque of 310 Nm, a range of 560 km on the CLTC scale and an acceleration of 9.3 seconds per 100 km.
• The Audi Q5 50 e-tron version has a maximum output of 225 kW, a maximum torque of 460 Nm, a range of 520 km on the CLTC scale and an acceleration of 6.7 seconds per 100 km.
Like a medium and large SUV, the interior space is large, and it provides two seating arrangements of 6/7 seats, of which the 40 e-tron version is 5-door and 7-seat (2+3+2), and the 50 e-tron version tron – 5-door and 6-seater (2 + 2 + 2). The trunk of the six-seat version can be increased to a maximum of 1825 liters, and the seven-seat version – up to 1773 liters.
The Audi Q5 e-tron electric car uses Audi’s new digital cockpit, which is very similar to the Audi Q5, whether it’s an LCD instrument panel or an LCD touchscreen. The new vehicle supports AR HUD, enhanced digital gauges, next generation MMI system, touch steering wheel, L2+ full speed adaptive cruise (with stop and go function), lane keeping system, lane departure warning system, parking assist function, 360-degree panoramic image, panoramic sunroof, electric trunk, head-up display HUD, front wireless mobile phone charging, electric front seat adjustment, automatic LED matrix headlights, adaptive high and low beams, automatic wipers, automatic air conditioning and rear independent air conditioning and other features.
